Michigan fans line the street as the team arrives to cheer for them, as the players listen to motivational tapes
The OSU Marching Band, aka TBDBITL, had complete confidence the Buckeyes were going to be victorious
For the fourth straight year, and for the sixth time in the past seven years, Ohio State defeats Michigan in the annual rivalry game. This one was not pretty but the weather had a lot to do with that. The Buckeyes climbed aboard "Beanie's" back on offense and the Wolverines had no answer for Vernon Gholtson and the OSU defense. With the Big Ten outright title secured, we will play the waiting game to see if we play in the Rose Bowl or if we climb back into the National Title picture with a little help from our friends.
Coach Tressel thanks Coach Carr for his Buckeye coaching wins number 7, 20, 38, 48, 61, adding #72 Saturday
Chad Henne spent his final game against OSU with a sore shoulder
Game Time - Bring it On!
(then again, it's been 1456 days since Michigan last won this game)
Michigan receiver Adrian Arrington (16) managed only 2 catches for 13 yards which was not enough
Michael Hart came back his senior season for what again ??
Mallet came in for the injured Henne but managed only 1 completion
Chris Wells (28) slid a bit at first but once he got on track it was a record breaking day for the sophomore running back
When the game played changed to run more, OSU turned the ball over to Beanie for 222 yards on 39 carries
Well's 62 yard touchdown run proved to be the difference in the game, as Michigan barely had that many yards for the entire game
With a game plan of 'running in the rain' there were not many opportunities for OSU receivers

Hart did everything he could but it wasn't enough as he was the only Michigan player with positive rushing yards
Buckeye fans know how to celebrate a victory ... we have plenty of practice
Even though the Maize & Blue outnumbered the Scarlet and Gray, you can tell which group was happier
It was a team effort on defense that held Michigan to only 91 yards
As sad as it was to see Michael Hart on the cover of Sports Illustrated's 2007 College Preview issue, I guess it did subject him and his teammates to the SI curse. I took my copy to the public autograph session this past August and had both Todd Boeckman and Beanie Wells sign it with the inscription 'Bucks Rule'. It was certainly the case during Hart's four years as his Wolverines were 0-4 against the Buckeyes during that time.
Sometimes you just need to know when it is time to say 'retire'
