For most of the evening, Buckeye fans were all smiles as it appeared we were ready for a 'big game' win
Chris, Lee and Kirk were on hand for the game, unfortunately Corso put on the Trojan mascot gear
A record crowd of 106,033 where on hand to cheer the Buckeyes to victory over USC
Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Allen was in town and met with fans during the pre-game activities
The outstanding Ohio State Marching Band had another great performance at halftime, including fireworks
The stadiums new "National Championships" were lit up for the first time -- don't expect 2009 to be added unfortunately
If only we could have kept the Trojans on the ground like they were during their warm-up activities
Things did not start well for the Buckeyes as Pryor (2) throws a key interception on this play during our opening drive
USC star Joe McKnight (4) started slowly but was the key player in USC's final drive for the winning score
After 3 tries, the Trojans finally get across the goal line for their first TD .... or did they?
Pryor (2) had running room at times, but unfortunately did not use his legs enough to move the ball consistently
The most consistent performer for the Buckeyes was punter Jon Thoma (48) who did everything asked of him every punt
The pass protection for Barkley (7) looks good, and it should with all the holding going on up front
Was I the only one seeing that Dane Sanzenbacher (12) was open most of the game?

The story sounds familiar and has an all too familiar ending. The Buckeyes are unable to hold on to a late lead and come up just short against another top level opponent. Most of the game was tied or found the Buckeyes in the lead, but it was the Trojans that escaped with an 18- 15 victory after a last minute TD drive.
