05/26/16 - Ohio State added a team from the American Athletic conference to their 2018 schedule, but will they still be in that conference when the game comes around?

University officials announced today the Buckeyes will play host to the Tulane Green Wave. The game will be played at Ohio Stadium on September 22nd, 2018. The matchup will be the first ever between the two schools and completes OSU's football schedule up to the 2020 season. Tulane is one of the schools that is being rumored as a candidate to join the Big 12 should they decide to expand.  Since a 1950 loss to SMU, Ohio State is 17-0-1 against schools presently in the American Athletic Conference, and are 28-3-1 all-time against schools currently in that conference.

08/25/15 - Ohio State has added the Florida Atlantic Owls to their 2019 football schedule, according to the announcement today from university officials.  The game will be played at Ohio Stadium on August 31, 2019. The matchup will be the first ever between the two teams for football.

Ohio State has now completed their football schedule for the 2019 season. The Buckeyes are also scheduled to host non-conference games against Cincinnati on September 7 and TCU on September 21.  In conference play will host Michigan State, Wisconsin, Maryland, and Penn State and will travel to Indiana, Nebraska, Northwestern, Rutgers, and Michigan.

Ohio State also announced today that they will host Army on September 16, 2017. In order to fit that game in the schedule, a previously scheduled home game vs. Oklahoma was moved up one week to the 9th.

02/09/14  Tickets go on sale for the Ohio State LiFESPORTS Football Spring Game presented by Nationwide (sorry for the plug).  Sale for the tickets start at 10:00 AM 2/10, for the game to be played April 12, with kickoff at 1:30 PM.  This will be the final spring scrimmage for Braxton Miller and the first for 7 of the new freshman coming in this year.

10/24/13  Ohio State will host Virginia Tech on September 6 next year instead of September 20, as was originally scheduled. This is according to OSU sources, who also reported ESPN approached both schools about the date change and the possibility of either a full national telecast at 3:30 PM or a primetime telecast.

10/16/13 Beginning with the 2016 season, the Big Ten will return to a nine-game conference schedule for all teams for the first time since the 1983 and 1984 seasons. Teams from the East Division will host five conference home games during even-numbered years, while teams from the West Division will host five conference home games during odd-numbered years. As a result of the nine-game conference schedule and the Big Ten's schedule rotation, every student-athlete will have the opportunity to play against every other team in the conference at least once during a four-year period.
Recent Schedule News
06/01/16 - The game should be one of the biggest games of the 2016 season and it will be played out in prime time. The OSU-Oklahoma game scheduled in Oklahoma Memorial Stadium in Norman, will have a 7:30 pm EST (6:30 pm Central local time) start and will be televised by FOX. The loser is not likely out of the playoff picture, but they will likely need to win out to stay in the hunt. This will be the third meeting ever between Ohio State and Oklahoma and the first since 1983.  The home team has never won in this match-up.

06/13/16 - The 2016 season will officially start at noon as it was announced today as the kickoff time for the Bowling Green game. The early slot will allow Buckeye fans to get back to their tv sets and watch all the other good games scheduled for opening week.
